Bloom Her Future is a California-recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underserved girls through access to essential resources, mentorship, and meaningful community support. Through donation drives, curated events, and outreach efforts, we aim to create safe, nurturing spaces where girls can thrive and reach their full potential. Led by a passionate, student-driven team, we’re committed to helping every girl bloom—one step, one story, and one future at a time.
HER STORY
Bloom Her Future was founded in February 2025 with a mission to support, uplift, and empower underserved girls—especially those growing up without the guidance of a female role model.The organization was inspired by the life of its founder, Kota Salinas, whose childhood was shaped by both hardship and the unwavering love of her father. At just seven years old, Kota experienced the devastating loss of her mother, who left the family and never returned. From that moment forward, her father stepped into every role—provider, protector, and sole parent—doing everything in his power to give her a chance at a better life.He worked three jobs and rarely slept more than a few hours a night. He sold his belongings, went into debt to pay off other debts, and wore tattered clothes so that Kota could have school supplies, meals, and the basic essentials she needed to grow. While his sacrifices made it possible for her to survive, the absence of a nurturing female presence left a quiet ache that would linger for years.Without a mother or consistent female figure, Kota faced girlhood without the support that so many take for granted. She navigated growing up without guidance on everything from confidence and self-worth to friendships, identity, and personal care. These years of silent struggle planted a seed—one that would eventually grow into a mission far greater than herself.Bloom Her Future was created from that very seed. Kota envisioned an organization that could be the helping hand she once needed: a place where girls could access not just necessities like clothing, food, and feminine products, but also kindness, mentorship, and a genuine sense of belonging. From donation drives to community events, Bloom Her Future offers real support—and more importantly, real connection—for girls who are often left to figure things out on their own.What began as a deeply personal story is now a growing movement to rewrite the narrative for young girls everywhere. Led by a passionate, youth-driven team, Bloom Her Future is committed to making sure no girl feels alone, unseen, or unworthy. The organization strives to create a world where every girl, no matter her background, can feel confident in who she is and excited for who she is becoming.Because every girl deserves someone to look up to. Every girl deserves to bloom.

🌸 Only 27% of low-income girls feel they have access to female mentorship or guidance.
🌸 Nearly 1 in 5 girls lives below the poverty line, making access to basic necessities—like hygiene products and school supplies—a struggle.
🌸 By age 14, girls are twice as likely as boys to drop out of sports and extracurricular activities, often due to lack of support or resources.
At Bloom Her Future, we are working to change this narrative. By providing mentorship, donations, and a supportive community, we empower girls to rise above these obstacles and step into their fullest potential. Kota Salinas
FOUNDER AND CEO
Kota Salinas was born and raised in San Francisco. A lifelong tennis player, Kota earned a sports scholarship to study marketing at a private business school. Throughout high school, she was president of the Black Student Union and Neurodiversity Affinity Group, founded the Multicultural Affinity Group, and served as an active member of the Gender & Sexuality Alliance.Now, as Marketing Director for both the Black Student Union and Performing Arts Club at college, Kota also enjoys making music in her free time. Her passion for advocacy and leadership drives her work with Bloom Her Future, where she strives to empower and support underserved girls. Kota believes that every girl deserves guidance, representation, and the chance to thrive.
